This showcase presents the visual identity for Octaves, IIT Guwahati’s music club. Created by me along with my good friends Om and Aashay, it covers how the identity evolved over our tenure at Octaves, shaped by the band’s bold, high-energy, performance-driven character. The design is driven by the band’s raw, rock-and-fusion spirit and the unmistakable presence it carries, cementing it as the best looking club on campus.

Visual Identity

Every year, Octaves opens its calendar with its Independence Day performance . A warm, emotional, high-impact set that blends soft, nostalgic melodies with powerful rock-driven crescendos.

It sets the tone for the rest of the year, capturing Octaves’ signature mix of heart, grit, and performance intensity.

Zenith

Our big winter show in ’23. A tight, grounded performance built on strong rhythms, heavy beats, and a solid bass driven feel.

Echoes is the flagship event of the club, towards the end of the academic year. With big sound, strong visuals, and a polished, atmospheric feel. The event had a product sponsorship with Red Bull, partnering for their SoapBox campaign, featuring a custom-designed entrance and deliverables made specifically for the collaboration.

Echoes

Nueva Era

Nueva Era was a calmer, more laid-back showcase in the dance room. A close, interactive set with softer arrangements and an easy, relaxed atmosphere, focusing less on scale and more on creating a comfortable vibe with the crowd.

Independence ‘24

Independence Day ’24. A warm, expressive set built around emotion and a solid musical flow, with the most packed auditorium for any event so far.

Echoes again

This Echoes was our final event during our tenure. A full, well-paced show that moved between softer moments and heavier, high-energy sections. The blend of Hindi film, indie, prog, and Western alt-rock gave it a solid arc, and the identity leaned into a sharper, more experimental direction that matched the mood of the set.

It became our closing statement, the one that felt unleashed, raw, and truly octaves.
